Terry’s Bikini Blast

Terry’s Bikini Blastfeatured

No need to feel like you have anything to hide this summer holiday. This calorie torching workout with butt lifting, tummy toners and bingo banishing blasts will have you shaped up so you can strut out on sandy shores in style. These exercises, courtesy of Terry (Chelsea Club’s top personal trainer), will ensure you will be one hot mama on the beach.

You’ll see me doing my best to demonstrate (still feeling a little silly jumping around like Davina McCall in front of the camera!), and I can assure you that this workout packs a punch – especially when done in a sunbeam for the sake of getting some good light on film – suffering for the art! You’ll see from my slight gurning expressions that the exercises are working.

All of these exercises can be done at home. We’ve used some equipment from the gym, but you can swap the step block for the stairs and punch the air, instead of Terry!

Aunty H who had her little baby boy 14 weeks ago was also doing the work out with me, so providing you’ve been given the green light to exercise from your doctor then you should be good to give this a try, obviously do it at your own pace and listen to your body.

Terry’s Top Tips:

Bikini Blast
• Step Ups
• Squat Jumps
• Curtsy Lunges
• Mountain Climbers
• Star Jumps
• Push Ups
• Flutter Kicks
• Plank to Push Up
• Shadow Boxing
• Bicycle crunches

According to Terry, “all these exercises are body-weight orientated, and the majority of people should be able to do them. I’ve picked exercises that are going to work the key areas; legs, bums, tums, and fat loss. Ultimately, if you have weak areas all over, these exercises will help increase basic strength throughout all muscles“.

Start with a work-to-rest ratio of 30s/30s and then, as it becomes easier, slowly increase your work time, and decrease your rest time. Each circuit is only 10 minutes long, so there’s no reason why you can’t get 3 done each day, even if divided up throughout the day around your little ones napping. Try to do this workout 3 to 5 times a week for best results.

You have to push yourself hard, but this WILL give you better results, which you can maximise by giving your body the right nutrition.

Remember: if it’s easy, it’s not worth it!

So there it is, Toned by Terry.
