Best Girl’s Party Dresses

Best Girl’s Party Dressesfeatured

One sleep to go and Big D turns 5! I feel like this is a big one – her first birthday with real-school mates.  I miss those baby days, but I’m enchanted by the little girl that she’s become and blessed with the love she shows me and the wonderful little conversations we have.  (That’s not to say that this Little Love doesn’t have a few diva moments but on the whole she’s a star.)

Before Big D came into the world, January could be a little flat after all the celebration of Christmas but now we can replenish with a bit of birthday buzz.  The venue’s booked, entertainer taken care of and unicorn cake baked (… is it me or are all 5 year olds a bit Unicorn crazy?).

To make sure she looks super special, I scoured the internet to find the perfect dress for my Unicorn pop star loving princess. I’ve seen so many beautiful ones it was so difficult to choose, so in the end I gave Big D the final say (I narrowed it down to two that I loved so it didn’t backfire!). I thought I’d share 11 of the best from high street to high end.

This Monsoon Eliza Sequin Dress reminds me of an Alice Temperley design. I adore the cape detail and sequins, and of course it looks very pretty in pink (it’s also available in white).

Monsoon £55.00

I love anything with a pom-pom so this skirt is so for me.  I love that you could dress it up with a pretty blouse or pair it with a Tee. Either way, your Little Love will rock any party wearing this celebration skirt.

Rock Your Baby skirt $45.00

Here are the two final contenders for Big D, both from Gorgeous & Wild, and both in the sales. Gorgeous & Wild have an amazing selection of partyware that is absolutely on point for her age and above.  I’ll keep you guessing on which one she chose.

The Love Dress in Lead £49.50 and The Glisten Dress in Rose Gold £66.80

How pretty is this delicate pretty party dress from Next. I think its style would really suit Little D as sizes go from 3 months to 6 years. Could be a twinning option if like me that’s your thing?

Next Pink Party Dress £12.50

This is how to dress like a modern Princess. Pepa & Co has the royal seal of approval and it’s easy to see why with timeless feminine styles what give more than a nod to traditional Spanish styles.

Pepa & Co Girls Frilly Dress, Metallic Details in Sea Green £48.00

While we are on the subject of Spanish Brands, La Coqueta is always a favorite of mine. How timeless is this beautiful dress that could be handed down to generations to come?

Barjas Ceremony Girls Dress £69.00

If your Little Love likes to shine on her special day she may like this gold goodie from Billie Blush, available from Alex and Alexa.

Billie Blush Gold Jaquard Dress £39.20

For the girl that doesn’t like to don a dress but still likes to glam it up – this chic and simple jumpsuit from Jigsaw, available at John Lewis is divine. I only wish if came in my size!

Jigsaw Silk Effect Jumpsuit £37.00

Apologies for the image size but this is proof that sometimes big isn’t always better. I thought I would feature one dress that’s high fashion and can be twinned with Mummy. Mini Me style has never looked so glamorous. Dolce & Gabanna, available at Harrods have started doing a ‘mini me’ line on some of their styles – so if you both want to be the belles of the ball this might be for you (although you’ll need a budget larger than mine!).

Dolce & Gabanna Floral Print Midi Dress £1350 and Mini Me Sequin Dress £995.00

Finally, I wanted to talk about the the stunning tutu dress in the featured image. It’s from one of my favorite shops: Greenberry Kids. You can’t see in this photo but the velvet top of the dress has really amazing cross detail at the back and how pretty are those ribbons?! Any feminine ballerina wannabe would be made to feel like a prima fashionista in this dress of dreams.

Greenberry Kids, Dimple Moments Ballerina Tutu Dress and Headband £64.80

I still can’t believe the babe that I was carrying around in my gigantic tummy while counting down the seconds to meet her will be five. What a wonderful little journey we’ve had together so far and I’m so happy she loves beautiful dresses as much as I do.
