Christmas party season is about to kick off! I love dressing up, love a good party and I practically combust with excitement over Christmas. So at this time of year all I want to do is turn myself into a human disco ball. I love to add a bit of sparkle to outfits and shopping with Big D proved that sequins are all the rage if you want to get down with your kid. My little magpie was oohing and aahing with every bejewelled number I tried on.
I popped my head in to French Connection this week because this dress caught my eye as I strolled past with Little D. Wow!!….it’s a party popping Christmas corker. Also a fab find for those breastfeeding mummies – it’s a wrap so those little babes have easy access while Mummy keeps it glam. Priced at £160.00 at the moment, but it’s black Friday tomorrow and they’re slashing prices by 50%!
This is Mummy B’s top pick (purchased last week) from H&M at the bargain price of £29.99. Having recently graced the pages of Vogue, this is selling like hot cakes – so pick it up while you can if like me you want to look like a silver bauble. It fits like a glove, has long sleeves to hide my hated ham arms and looks fab with black skinnies. Pandora Sykes just wore the dress version to the British Fashion Awards, so it must be cool!
This little M&S dress is a fab cut and I love the fact that you can move the sequins in different directions to give the illusion of a body-con design (the shaded in sides make the waist look smaller – a magic trick if you’ve been tucking into the mince pies already like I have!) Alternatively, you can express your wild side and give it an animal print design. Priced at £89.00
I really love this sexy statement top in midnight blue or gold from Boden. Perfect teamed with skinny jeans or a little black leather skirt. This classic will come in handy year-after-year and its oversized shape is very forgiving, especially if you have had a baby not so long ago. Currently in the sale for £89.95.
Although in this picture the sparkle isn’t obvious, I promise there is more than a little dazzle and fizz to this rather regal emerald green velvet dress from Zara £39.99. I bought last season’s version of this exact dress in navy and loved shimmying around the kitchen as we danced away on Christmas day. (Please tell me you also have Strictly competitions in your family?!)
Treat yourself to something this Christmas and make sure you feel fabulous: you deserve it. Father Christmas tells me you’ve smashed 2015, chances are you dazzled your way through sleepless nights, got covered in purée, changed around 1,825 nappies and loved every second of it!
So get your glam on, kick up your heels and have some fun!
Love Mummy B
